I saw one dragon, spawned to late to be able to kill. Unless someone places a handfull of thralls around to nuke him Down in under a minute, you cannot kill it. You get 7 bones/kill on official, getting a mountain of them will require you at least one week. I've killed 5 dragons and haven't gotten a single damn bone.

Bearers. In my experience, about 3 out of 5 times they'll have 500 or so bones in their pack when you loot it.
